Position Overview

We are hiring a Junior System Engineer based in Vietnam to support customer projects across banking, financial services and energy. You will work alongside experienced engineers on system preparation, deployment, troubleshooting, documentation and operational handover. This is a hands-on role for someone who can demonstrate practical technical skills, reason through problems and communicate clearly. Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory for working with customers, technical partners and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, configure and maintain Unix/Linux environments under the guidance of senior engineers, including accounts, permissions, services, packages and system updates.
• Deploy and troubleshoot containerized services, inspect logs and connectivity, and assist with image configuration, storage and runtime issues.
• Support Kubernetes deployments using manifests and kubectl, including pods, deployments, services, namespaces, configuration and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist with security solution integration, validation and operational handover for banking, financial services and energy customers in Vietnam.
• Collect diagnostic evidence, document incidents and escalate issues with clear findings rather than making unapproved changes to customer systems.
• Write installation guides, test records and runbooks in English, and participate confidently in technical discussions with customers and international partners.
• Follow access controls, customer confidentiality requirements, change approvals and maintenance windows when working on critical environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on familiarity with Unix/Linux command-line tools, filesystems, permissions, processes, service management, logs and basic shell scripting.
• Basic understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, routing and practical connectivity troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of containers, including images, registries, volumes, networking and the difference between containers and virtual machines.
• Foundational Kubernetes knowledge, including pods, deployments, services, configuration, secrets and using kubectl to inspect workloads and diagnose basic failures.
• Conceptual understanding of Application Security, including common web/API risks, authentication, authorization, vulnerability management and secure development practices.
• Conceptual understanding of AI Security, including model and agent risks, prompt injection, sensitive data exposure and access control around AI systems.
• Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory, including reading technical documentation, explaining troubleshooting steps and participating in customer-facing discussions.
• Ability to work in Vietnam and support customers in the Vietnamese banking, financial services and energy sectors.
• A careful, collaborative approach, willingness to learn and the ability to demonstrate practical skills through projects, labs, internships or professional work.
